Parent and student athletes we are inquiring as to who will be interested in participating in our "Uncommon Integrated Athletic Performance Program" for injury prevention, individual human performance and the strengthening of team unity. Participants are encouraged to participate as a team, but can also take part individually.
The UIAPP (Uncommon Integrated Athletic Performance Program) is a 6 step system that integrates individual athletic performance, to encourage and catalyze the reduction and prevention of injuries, strengthen team unity and create a culture here at CHS were just like in the charger fight song that our strength as a school, community and culture…lies in unity.
1. Culture and Leadership Commitments (parent, teacher and coaches ultimately the individual culture of CHS)
2. Foundational Components (behavior and lifestyle modifications)
3. Strategic Planning (exercise prescription and program design)
4. Communications and Marketing (everyone involved, starts up top, leading by example)
5. Programming and Interventions (fitness program)
6. Report and Analysis (subjective and objective data and analysis)
Mr. Josh Garcia of Unification Point will be speaking at the next grid Iron club meeting on Tuesday May 15th at 7pm and will have a detailed description of all the logistics of the program.
We would like to get an idea of how many athlete's are interested in this program so please send an email to
with a short message and the athlete name indicating you are interested.
Thank you,
Coach McGatlin
